Credit overdue

Your Brooklands article did not give credit to the late Kenneth Evans, who secured preservation orders on parts of the Track, Campbell Circuit, Test Hill and buildings, an incredible feat without which all 300 acres would have been lost to development Thanks to him, Elmbridge Borough Council secured a 99-year lease on the present museum site and established the Brooklands Museum Trust

By any standards the saving of part of Brooklands, with its unique history in the development of cars, aircraft and motorcycles, stands high among efforts to preserve history around the world.
