Festival of Speed theme

The innovation Years theme of June’s Goodwood Festival of Speed has had organisers scouring the world for amazing racing cars and motorcycles. Audi AG will run a new 1936-specification V16 Auto Union and a 1938 V12 D-type back-to-back for the first time. Dave Uihlen’s 1932 Alfa Romeo Tipo B (not run since the 1947 Indianapolis 500) and the Novi Governor Special star in a line-up of Indycars from 1913 Peugeot to Penske-Mercedes. Gas turbine power makes its debut in a Lotus 56 and the Howmet TX sports prototype. Many great drivers will compete, including GP stars in the latest F1 cars. MP
