The German Giants

That well-documented and copiously illustrated book on an obscure subject “The German Giants”, by G. W. Haddow and Peter M. Grosz (310 pp., 11½ in. x 8¾ in.), has now been issued in a revised and enlarged edition by Putnam & Company Ltd., 9, Bow Street, Covent Garden, London, W.C.2. at 105s. It covers the history and technical development of the German R-planes of the 1914-19I8 war and is unique in the information it provides and the rare pictures it contains. The new edition, from study of German records, includes data on the R-plane which carried a 5-in. cannon, monoplane guided missiles, and metal monoplanes of incredible wing-span.
