Sebring 12 Hours—Florida (March 22nd)

Prototype and GT Cars

As has become almost traditional, the works Ferrari cars swept the board in the 12-hour race on the Sebring Airfield, the Maranello prototype cars finishing in the first three places. However, in the GT category there was a rude shock for the red cars, as they were soundly beaten by the A.C. Cobras’ with 4.7-litre Ford V8 engines. These Anglo-American bastards took the first three places in the GT class and were fourth, filth and sixth overall.
