Nicely produced, these guides provide a well-written introduction to the countryside in question, a map, pictures, of views and beauty spots, a gazetteer to important tours and places, suggested reading matter and so on—attractively arranged and fine value for a bob. No. 1-16 have been issued, covering Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, and the I of W, Berkshire, Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Oxfordshire, Berks, Gloucestershire, Glamorgan and Monmouthshire, Cardiganshire and Breconshire and Herefordshire and Radnorshire and 32 others are promised—and eagerly awaited.
