Sir,

Recently a friend of mine discovered in a village in Lincolnshire a 1928 Mathis.

We have had the engine running and moved the car under its own power, so you will appreciate the vehicle is in fair condition. I am wondering if perhaps any of your readers may know anything about this make of car or if the age is correct. Reg. No. is MT 751.

[This would be the Mathis that someone once told me Standards cribbed for their urgently needed new 9-h.p. model of 1927. Can anyone confirm this rumour?—Ed.
