VW isoo CONTROLS AND FACIA LAYOUT
NOTES.—The control layout is mainly self-explanatory from the diagram and key below. The very small push-buttons have identification symbols and are generally convenient but invisible at night, as the instrument lighting does not illuminate them. The dual horatmtal rheostat wheels between them are rather ” lumbly.” The ignition key will lock the steering. The very rigid indicators stalk has a buttonswitch under its extremity that flashes headlamps full-beam intermittently (and automatically) in daylight, ditto but dimmed beam with sidelamps on, and dims the full-beam with headlights on. It also selects the near-side or off-side parking lamp. When the flashers are working both winkers in the fuel gauge operate. The wipers only work with ignition “on.” There are the usual indicator lights. The heater is brought in by a knok, requiring many turns, placed ahead of the gear-lever (clockwise = off). Fresh air is vented at screen level to either side of the car by the vertically-moving small controls shown and foot-level volume is varied by means of the larger central toggle. Some whistle occurs when the full supply (levers down) is used and the action is not as refreshing as it might be
