A REPLY WAS RECEIVED FROM CAPON
(Signed) V. BODDY.
A reply was received from Capon, dated March 27th, in which he said that he felt it necessary to make contact with at least some committee members, together with the chairman, before he could make a definite statement. At the time of going to Press nothing further has been received from him. Meanwhile, Boddy has had assurances from the chairman, L. M. Ballamy, and from Birkett, Frost and Chiles, who are on the committee, that if Capon is unable to carry on, they would welcome the suggested action on the part of F/Lt. Mallock and himself.
