If you’re after a pristine, and rare, Gallardo, you’ll struggle to find better than this low-miles example
With over 14,000 Gallardos having been sold, it can be tough to stand out in a crowd, except that the example on offer at Hendon Way Motors is rare in more ways than one.
“It’s a manual, rather than an E-gear, so it’s one of very, very few sold with that configuration. The original owner clearly knew exactly what they wanted,” says Anthony Pozner, who now looks after the family-run company that has been in business since 1951, making it one of the longest-established independent sports car retailers in Europe. The business also has a strong history with Lamborghinis, having once sold the first right-hand-drive Countach to come into the UK.
This example features the 5-litre V10, plus the additional upgraded carbon ceramic brakes, 19-inch Callisto alloy wheels and four-wheel drive. Plus, having only covered 15,000 miles through its life, it’s a prime example of the breed.
“The car wants for nothing,” adds Pozner. “It’s been used very sparingly, having been part of a private collection, and it comes with full documentation, service history and a recent road test from Lamborghini in Birmingham confirming everything to be in full working order.
“It’s a beautiful car to drive, the sort that you put on rather than get into. It feels very alive and there’s so much going on, yet it’s very easy to just take for a spin. It gives you a real sense of occasion, and that’s the selling point of a Lamborghini.”
The asking price is £86,500.
