Sordo to strengthen Mini line-up
The MINI WRC Team has announced that ex-Citroen factory pilot Dani Sordo will join 2009 IRC champion Kris Meeke as a driver at the new squad.
Sordo drove for the works Citroen team for four seasons alongside seven-time World Champion Sebastien Loeb, and despite being only 27 is one of the more experienced drivers in the WRC.
“There has been a lot of excitement surrounding Mini’s return, so to be part of it is fantastic,” said the Spaniard. “I’m also looking forward to working with Kris having completed a successful test with him last November.”
The MINI team will contest at least six WRC rounds in 2011.
