E-type anniversary races planned
A series dedicated to the Jaguar E-type will be run in 2011 at five high-profile classic race meetings. Organised by the HSCC and supported by the Jaguar Heritage Trust, the series will celebrate 50 years of the E-type.
The races will only be open to Appendix K-specification cars, and Grahame White, CEO of the HSCC, is hoping to attract a field of around 30 cars from across Europe. Races are likely to be held at Silverstone, Oulton Park, Brands Hatch and the Nürburgring.
“We wanted to mark the 50th anniversary of the launch of the original E-type, one of the best-loved classic cars,” said JHT curator Tony O’Keeffe.
