UK festivals for Masters, but fewer trips abroad
Alongside a major presence in the Silverstone Classic, the Masters Racing Series will organise racing festivals at Donington Park (May 9/10) and Brands Hatch (May 24/25).
In a trimmed schedule that reflects the economic situation, more expensive events like Anderstorp (Sweden) and Mugello (Italy) have been dropped, and a relatively late start to the season is aimed at helping competitors.
Other events to host Masters races include the Nürburgring Oldtimer GP (August 7-9), the Spa Classic Six Hours (left, September 25-27) and the new historic festival at Portimao (October 17/18). Another event in France may be added to the list.
The UK-based Top Hat races, which fall under the Masters umbrella, will feature at Snetterton (March 21), Brands Hatch (May 23), Castle Combe (June 13), Silverstone (August 8/9) and Mallory Park (October 25).
