Please find enclosed a photograph taken at the recent Essen Motor Show. It shows Nina Rindt with the Brabham BT18 (F2-22-26) raced by her late husband, for Roy Winkelmann, in 1966. This car won the last 1000cc F2 race at Brands Hatch, when Rindt beat Jack Brabham (Brabham Honda) for the first time that season.

The display commemorated the 25th anniversary of the Jochen Rindt Show.

I believe the Ferrari in the background is David Piper’s 275LM which won at Le Mans in 1965, driven by Rindt and Masten Gregory.

I own the little Brabham which has been great fun to drive for the past 10 years or so in speed hillclimbs.
