V-E-V Miscellany, March 1977, March 1977
A Wolseley Hornet Special, JJ 87, with Corsica body, but with a Standard Flying 12 power-unit, has come to light. It is thought to have been raced at Brooklands by Hutchings, whose team of these cars certainly won the 1932 LCC Relay Race, and it further history is sought. The Traction Avant section of the Citroen CC continues to issue Floating Power, its well produced journal with an International flavour, the Christmas number of which carried pictures of rally and other Citroens in wintry conditions, a picture of the Paris-Cape Town-Paris car, and the 1938 announcement of a diesel-engined Family Fifteen 7-seater saloon. The Traction OC Secretary is Tricia Brice, 27, Forest Hill, Tovil, Maidstone, Kent.—W.B.
