"Motor Racing Year-1974 Edition"
Edited by John Blunsden. 128 pp. 9.1/2 in. x 7 in. (Motor Racing Publications Ltd., 56, Fitzjames Avenue, Croydon, Surrey, CRO 5DD. £1.80).
This annual of racing results, with race descriptions, is now well-established and although not as elaborate as some such books and containing advertising, is a useful reference work. This Year Book has been going since 1961. This time feature articles have been omitted, to allow more comprehensive coverage of more racing events. But the World Championship Formula One races still get the full treatment—a report, simple circuit-diagram, starting grid layout and tabulated results for each one. Other races are now covered briefly and there are the usual good pictures, some of them by our camera-man. Personally, I cannot stand the ones which have funny captions unassociated with what was actually happening when the camera clicked but that applies only to one section of Blunsden’s Year Book.—W.B.
