Winning personality

I am the proud owner of a 1956 TR3 bought for £40 last summer. This car outstrips any MGB and most modern large-engined saloons and can cruise (dare I say it !) at around 90 m.p.h. quite happily. Essentially it is a man’s car to drive and this, in my opinion, is its most winning characteristic. For sheer brutality in handling and gearchanging, it is hard to beat but the true sports-car enthusiast is well rewarded with the results.

Notice the GT6 and Vitesse six-cylinder unit only produces 95 b.h.p. at 5,000 r.p.m. while the TR-3 unit produces 100 b.h.p. at 5.000 r.p.m. What is the reason for this? Any person who is not won over by this car is either indifferent to cars in general or a woman.
