IN FAVOUR OF THE 1,100-c.c. H.R.G.
IN FAVOUR OF THE 1,100-c.c. H.R.G. W. G. S. Wike confirms the praise bestowed by several recent Correspondents on this modern British Small Sports Car IN the summer of 1939…
Sir,
May I draw your attention to a misprint in “Matters of Moment,” in last month’s issue. The statement should read—”The motor-car is man’s most coveted possession.” (Full-stop.)
Anne F. Oliver (Mrs.). – lpswich.
[Our “misprint” read:—”The motor-car is man’s most coveted possession after his wife and home. We confess we are curious to know what car Mr. Oliver owns to cause his wife to take up her pen. Perhaps she should be glad that wife-beating has gone out of fashion, or is this a case of such serious motor devotion that Mr. Oliver just won’t care? And how many other wives thought our statement wide f the mark?-Ed.]
