Stop Press-Moss' Crash.

The Publicity Boys and the Sensational Press let themselves go, as usual over Moss’ accident while he was carrying out chassis tests of the 300SLR Mercedes-Benz in readiness for the Mille Miglia.

Our “Correspondent on the Spot,” D.S.J., who was the passenger in the car, informs us that the accident happened on a deserted stretch of road when passing a flock of sheep, one of which leapt in front of the car, which was doing a bare 70 m.p.h. This caused it to spin backwards into a ditch. It was not seriously damaged and neither occupant was in any way hurt.
