Good news! The W. Hants and Dorset C.C. has overcome all difficulties in connection with the Whit-Monday Blandford meeting. Thanks are due to Bedford and Jesty, Ltd., who market “Sylvia-springs” watercress, who have put up the money. Racing will start at 12.30 p.m., and will comprise two 5-lap heats and a 20-lap final for Formula III 500-c.c. cars, the 20-lap National Blandford Trophy race for Formula II cars and a 25-lap Blandford Production Car race. The North v. South Challenge Trial happens again this year. The Northern event will be run on March 12th, by the Association of Northern Car Clubs. The Southern event is entrusted to the N.W. London M.C., who propose to run it over the pre-war “Experts” course on Exmoor on October 29th. Entries will be by invitation, but drivers interested, and Southern clubs who want to nominate drivers, are asked to let J. H. Appleton know, at 99, Goldhawk Road, W.12.
