New Chairman of M.I.R.A. Council
At a Council Meeting of M.I.R.A. on January 26th, 1950, Mr. Bernard B. Winter was elected Chairman in succession to Mr. E. C. Ruffle.
Mr. Winter, as is known to a great many in the industry, has held the position for some considerable time of Engineering Director to the Rootes Group, and has taken a very active interest in M.I.R.A., since its formation and also in its predecessor, the I.A.E. Research Department.
Mr. Winter was one of the originators of the Proving Ground and with his vigorous support M.I.R.A. should become of even greater importance to the motor industry.
