A One-make Trial -Good Entry for M.G. Club Event
M.G. Car Club, which is steadily increasing in membership, held its first trial last month, the event
taking the form of a half-day affair over a very sporting course.
Sixty entries were received, but owing to the prevailing malady—’flu—there were 10 non-starters. The start was at the wellknown hostelry, the ” Lambert Arms,” at Aston Rowant, and the 45-miles course took competitors by devious ways to Berkhamsted. Several of the popular gradients to be found in the Chiltern Hills figured on the route card, including Lewknor, Kingston Blount, Whyteleaf and Kop.
At the filnish at Ashley Green only . one driver failed to check in. This was .L. . Smith who was driving a Midget.
