Around 100 years ago, Vauxhall’s 30-98 was regarded as one of Britain’s finest sports cars and was a regular on the slope at Shelsley Walsh. The driver is RF Summers, who was second-quickest in the over 3-litre class. He was beaten by Malcolm Campbell in a Coppa Florio Sunbeam powered by a 4.9-litre Indianapolis engine.
