Spa call-up for Villeneuve

Ex-Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve will get his eye in for the Le Mans 24 Hours in the Spa 1000Km. 

Villeneuve, who is returning to the French enduro with Peugeot, has been called up to share one of two 908 HDi turbo-diesel prototypes in the second round of the Le Mans Series on May 11. He will share the car with Nicolas Minassian and Marc Gené, his scheduled team-mates for the 24 Hours. 

Peugeot Sport team manager Serge Saulnier explained that he wanted to give his star driver some more race experience in the 908 because his recent competition action had been limited to stock car racing, including the final two rounds of the Asian Speedcar series.
