Aintree finished?

Motor racing enthusiasts in the north-west believe that new grandstands for the Aintree horse race course mean that racing can never now return to the scene of British Grand Prix races in the 1950s and 1960s. The new stands have been positioned on the line of the circuit at Tatt’s Corner, extinguishing any hopes of even demonstration runs around the previously complete historic track. The group claims that the work goes against pledges previously made by the venue owners to protect the heritage of the old circuit.
