A quick dash of Martini

A pair of Lancia LC2s will race in Group C races in Europe this season with Americans Richard and Benton Bryan driving.

The ex-works Martini Racing cars were built in 1984 and one was raced by Bob Wollek, Riccardo Patrese and Mauro Baldi.

After being dropped by the works team in 1986, the Dallara-designed cars have more recently been raced in America. Now they are back on this side of the Atlantic, fitted with 3-litre Ferrari turbo V8 engines as used at Le Mans in 1984.

A new organisation has been set up to run the series under the Group C/GTP Racing banner, with racer Jim Graham moving into a central role in the structure.
