Mille Miglia

Next month MOTOR SPORT will have a report on the Lancia Delta HF Turbo in which GC followed the retrospective event in Italy in May which recalled the Mille Miglia, the famous Italian road-race. In 1955 Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson, our Continental Correspondent, won this demanding race in their MercedesBenz 300SLR. The thrill and excitement of those days and of that race were captured by DSJ in his gripping report, and we have reprinted the story complete, with contemporary photographs.
