1974 Belgian Grand Prix in pictures
Organised on the Nivelles-Baulers autodrome near Brussels, the Belgian Grand Prix ended with victory going to Emerson Fittipaldi’s McLaren M23 by a matter of feet from the Ferrari of Niki Lauda (below). Above left, a crocodile of cars speeds through a fast, grass-lined swerve headed by Beltoise (BRM), Merzario (Williams), Depailler (Tyrrell), Pescarolo (BRM), Hailwood (McLaren), Jarier (Shadow) and Ickx (Lotus). Above right, Fittipaldi and Lauda celebrate victory. French sports-car driver Gerard Larrousse drove the Bretscher Racing ex-works Brabham BT42 originally intended for the injured Silvio Moser.
