Where is it Now?

Sir,

Where is that AEC-Diesel now? I am surprised that no one has asked that question in respect of Eyston’s AEC-engined record-breaker. A colleague of mine is quite convinced that this car disappeared very mysteriously from AEC’s (while he was apprenticed to the firm a few years ago), and after various enquiries it was assumed to have been stolen.

Can you, or any of your readers, cast any light on this?
