Eifelrennen (April 24th)-South Circuit Formula Two-20 laps

With another Formula Two race in Spain the Eifel races on the very twisty South leg of the Nurburgring did not receive the full support of the Formula Two world, entries being shared between the two events. The Roy Winkelmann team and the Ron Harris Team supported the German event, along with various private owners. Arundell’s Lotus 35 of the Harris Team was damaged in practice, so he took over Revson’s car and was alone in challenging the Winkelmann cars of Rindt and Rees. In pouring rain Rindt won the event from Arundell, while Rees dropped out with. engine trouble.
