Brookhirst Igranic

Brookhirst Igranic has been presented by Vincents of Reading Ltd. with a beautifully restored 1907 Type V 10 h.p. single-cylinder Adams “pedal-to-push” mail phaeton, as successors of the Bedford company which built these cars. The handing-over was quite an occasion, Mr. R. J. F. Howard, Managing Director of Brookhirst Igrainc driving Mr. W. R. Vincent and the Mayor of Bedford round the track outside the works, formerly used for testing Adams cars, watched by fifty old Adams employees, some of whom helped to build those cars. They came from as far afield as Highcliffe-on-Sea, Wolverhampton, Chiswick and Maidstone. It is always nice to hear of a modern manufacturer’s interest in former products and we hope the Igranic Adams will be exercised sometimes in V.C.C. and other rallies.
