SPEED TRIALS AT BRIGHTON

SPEED TRIALS AT BRIGHTON

Speed trials are all too rare now that public roads cannot be used, and it is therefore very encouraging to note that the Brighton and Hove Club have made arrangements with the Brighton corporation for a speed trial on the sea front (Madeira Drive). They are able to do this under special powers they had in their last Parliamentary Bill. The course will be a standing start half mile with an excellent pull up, and sufficient width for two cars to race at a time. The idea at present is to

confine the event solely to sports and racing cars and possibly racing motorcycles. Touring vehicles need not apply. The A.C.U. and

R.A.C. have consented to grant open permits and the date fixed is September 10th.
