The VSCC season is now in full cry. Recent results: the Curborough Speed Trials held on May 5 saw James Baxter (1934 ‘Nash) make FTD in 37.86 sec. The vintage-car course record was broken by David Leigh’s GN ‘Spider’.
At Wiscombe on May 12, FTD at the popular hill-climb was set by Bruce Spollon’s ERA R8C in 48.08sec. Best vintage-car; the 1929 Frazer Nash of Geoff Smith, 52.39sec. Quickest sportscar: the TT Rep Frazer Nash of Brian White (50.12sec). Best driver: Mrs Way, 1930 A7 Ulster.
