Noisy, smelly Donington
Sir,
I had the pleasure to attend the VSCC meeting at Donington Park and relished the opportunity to see, hear and smell real motor racing.
However I was bemused to notice several spectators wearing ear plugs. As the distances and durations of exposure to this glorious music are at best modest this cannot be a health concern among so many.
Numerous individuals visiting the Silver Arrow garage probably risked loss of licence if they drove home after inhaling the hooch it runs on, and none wore respirators. So why shortchange yourself? Perhaps someone can enlighten me.
I am, yours, etc. Steve Williamson, High Peak, Derbyshire
