"Traction Avant"

With further reference to “Traction Avant,” I must be the only one, to date, who has had trouble with the constant velocity joint at only 250 miles!

I purchased my new Morris Mini Super only a month ago and after only a few miles on the road very loud clicking noises were heard to come from the steering, which had also become very heavy! Upon inspection the n/s. driving shaft was found to have a good quarter inch up and down play in it. This was, of course, rectified under warranty, but it has, none the less, left me with doubts regarding the dependability of these joints.
