Kjell Qvale - Obituary

Best known as a major importer of British and other European cars to the USA, Norwegian-born Kjell Qvale, who has died aged 94, was involved in many racing enterprises, including the famous concours at Pebble Beach and planning the Corkscrew bend at Laguna Seca.

He created the Huffaker-BMC that raced at Indianapolis in the mid-1960s, built Genie FJ racecars, bought Jensen Motors and created the Jensen-Healey before building the Qvale Mangusta. He was also well known as a racehorse breeder.
