In praise of WB

Sir,

Having enjoyed the writings of Mr W Boddy since 1951, naturally I felt his story about the great French driver Etancelin would be of great interest. However he suggests the veteran had retired at the end of 1952 season but my records indicate that Phi-Phi became `un-retired’ for one more go at his home circuit in Rouen. That would be June 28 when he finished third in his beloved Talbot.

I should stress that it is Mr Boddy’s on-going contributions that keep me buying the journal. Also we all owe him a big thanks for keeping the magazine going through the difficult war years.
