Senna tribute at Autosport International '98
Five cars from four marques will trace the F1 career of Ayrton Senna in a special tribute to the triple World Champion at the Autosport International show at the Birmingham NEC between January 9-11.
The Toleman-Hart TG184 turbo car in which he finished second to Alain Prost’s McLaren in the wet 1984 Monaco GP will be joined by the Lotus-Renault 971 which carried him to his first win in Portugal the next year. Also on display will be the Monaco and Detroit GP-winning Lotus-Honda 991 of ’87, a McLaren MP4 and a 1994 Williams FW16.
The backdrop for the cars will comprise a wide range of memorabilia, including racesuits, helmets and photographs of Senna.
Admission costs £2 and proceeds will be donated to charity by the Senna Foundation.
