Postscript
Of the cars referred to above, the Viper vanished mysteriously in the 1930s but Delage II, rebuilt and re-bodied for VSCC racing by N Arnold-Forster, is about to be auctioned, valued at £250,000. J End made an accurate replica of a Wolseley Moth, using an original engine or parts thereof , and C. Thomas a replica of the 200 Mile Race Wolseley Ten. Delage I went to Ireland and was broken up, but the big Benz is in Birmingham’s Museum of Science and Industry and the Lombard may well still exist. WB.
