What Is It?
Sir,
A friend has suggested that you may be able to identify the car in the snapshot. The photograph was taken at Southwaite,
Cumberland, about 1922 or 1923. So far as I know, the car was bought locally, probably at Carlisle or Penrith, and was quite new when the photograph was taken. Weeping Cross A. PRENDERGAST (The car is an Autocrat, a sports model being shown on page 1582 of last month’s MOTOR SPORT. It is thus a coincidence that this letter was received at about the same time and that the sports Autocrat was sold by a Penrith garage, while this tourer was in use in the same area. –Ed.)
