Latest Dealer Team formation comes from Alfa Romeo. Former Squadra Alta manager Michael Lindsay will look after the Dealer Team from a base at 108 St. George’s Road, London SE1 6EU. No sponsors, or drivers, have been announced for next year (though we would be astonished if Jon Dooley and Leo Bertorelli don’t appear in Alfas) but the team objective is to win the RAC British Saloon Car Championship, utilising the promising Alfasud Ti in the up-to-1300-c.c. class. A limited development programme is also envisaged on the rally side.

The old HQ for Ferrari in Britain, Tower Garage on the Egham Bypass in Surrey, has taken on the BMW franchise. Current plans are to sell the Munich marque alongside those from the stable of the Prancing Horse.

A spell of intensive dealing in the Bahamas has rewarded former DART Sports Car Racing team patron Denys Dobby with enough finance to secure the immediate future of his Knockhi II, Dunfermline race circuit. A full programme of motorsport is scheduled for the coming year, ranging from very tentative Fl testing plans (Chris Amon in the Ensign), through motorcycle racing, to Go-Karts and conventional car race meetings.
