In Praise of the Hunter GLS

In Praise of the Hunter GLS

Sir,

In the September issue, the dismissal of the Chrysler Hunter range by “C.R.” as “uninspired”, suggests that he has overlooked the fact that the GLS version of this model is powered by the self same Holbay engine that he subsequently enthuses about.

In my opinion there is no home grown or imported vehicle which can match the combination of performance, appointments and fine lines of this car. For example, and contrary to popular rumour, a 0-60 m.p.h. time of under 10 seconds is at least one thing you can’t do in an MG-B.

Perhaps C.R. would care to further his interest in this unit, with a road test of what is clearly the most under-rated mass-produced sports saloon of the last two years.
