Despite our reservations about the cover design, we found this personal publishing effort to be an informative read. The author clearly loves the challenging North-West circuit, and this comes across on every page. We give full marks for interviewing a wide range of Oulton Park veterans, from Sir Jackie Stewart to the motorbiker Bill Smith. First-person insights add to the flavour. It’s commendably well researched and good value, but a more thorough edit would help it along. Kerry is already working on a reissue with even more quotes and stories. RH
