Discs slip for '07

The HGPCA has revised regs for its sports car series in order to attract more entries for ’07. It will be opened up to all pre-61 cars of up to 2 litres, whether running disc or drum brakes. Previously, the series had been open only to drum-braked cars.

Roger Lucas, chairman of the HGPCA, admitted that they had considered dropping the series in light of poor support at some races. “It was decided to continue, but also to enlarge the scope of cars eligible to compete.”
