Scott Brown Memorial
A memorial fund to Archie Scott Brown has been established in Paisley, where the formidably fast and terribly handicapped racer was born. It aims to raise enough cash to erect a life-size commemorative statue of the man with any surplus funds going to help local charities for handicapped children. If you want to help, you need to get in contact with ex-racing mechanic Alex Elliott who is organising the campaign.
You can write to him at 68 Balfron Road, Odhall, Paisley PA1 3HD, or alternatively telephone him on 0141 883 7899. Stirling Moss and Brian Lister are already helping, as is the town council which has already set aside space in the town centre for the statue.
