Son of Testarossa
On January 2, the Ferrari 512TR was unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show. This replaces the Testarossa, launched at the Paris Salon in 1984, in the Ferrari range.
Ferrari claims improved handling, thanks to refinement of the double wishbone suspension and increased chassis rigidity.
Although emphasis has predictably been placed on keeping exhaust emissions to sufficiently low levels, both power (422bhp/6750rpm) and torque (387lb ft/5500rpm) figures are superior to those of the Testarossa.
Claimed performance capabilities are 0-62mph acceleration in 4.8sec and a top speed of 194.5mph.
