Andretti's Le Mans Porsche
Alongside its probable attempt at a third consecutive Le Mans victory for the Derek Bell/Hans Stuck combination in the classic 24-Hour race in June, the factory Porsche team plans to run a car for the exclusive use of the Andretti dynasty! In his third Le Mans attempt, Mario Andretti will be co-driven by his elder son Michael, who finished second in the 1986 and 1987 CART Indycar Championships, and possibly even by his younger son Jeff.
Should he win, Andretti Snr would become only the second man in history to win the World Drivers Championship in Formula One, the Indianapolis 500 and Le Mans. The first was Graham Hill.
