Pride of Prescott
Pride of Prescott•
ugatti Owners Club celebrates the fiftieth A./anniversary of Prescott on May 21-22, when pride of place will be given to those who competed at this famous venue before the war. Each will be asked to make a timed or demonstration run, if possible in the same type of car he strove in the Opening Rally or first formal hill-climb in 1938; at the latter Arthur Baron rnade FTD in a Type 51 Bugatti before (according to MOTOR SPORT’s report) some 2000-3000 spectators. At least 18 pre-war Prescott drivers remain, and commemorative run invitations may be extended to competitors up to 1950, so nostalgia should be released with a vengeance during that weekend. WB
