"Great Cars & Grand Marques"
Another great coffee-table tome has becii published, presumably for those whose coffee-tables are used as depositories for books instead of beverages. It is “Great Cars & Grand Marques”. by many authors, published by America’s Automobile Quarterly, and distributed from 201, Park Avenue South. New York. Naturally, it carries some excellent colour illustrations, to support the various authors who write of automobile mascots, the Model-J Duesenberg, French pioneers, the real Rileys, the Pierce-Arrow. the BMW Turbo, ERAs, Hudsons, the 300SL, Biddies, Lancias, Kelseys, Cobras, Rickenbakers, Amilcars, Rolls-Royce Bentley”, Delage, Chrysler, Scripps-Booth, Packards and much else besides. Automobile Quarterly is splendid. We only hope that it is not going to over-commercialise. and thus kill the golden goose…. Its erudite girl-editor Beverly Rae Kimes, has done the Introduction to this great 239-page, unpriced 12 in. 9/ in. miscellaneous glossy.
