Obituary - Tony Adamowicz
American racing star Tony Adamowicz has died aged 75, following a long battle with cancer. Once part of the communications team at the White House, Adamowicz raced successfully from the early 1960s through to the 1980s, career highlights including a double title conquest in 1969. At the wheel of his Eagle Mk5, he took both the US F5000 and SCCA Continental Championships. He also raced very successfully in TransAm and sports car events, finishing on the podium at both Daytona and Le Mans in 1971.
