Rallye des Alpes returns
The Rallye des Alpes will return to the calendar again in 2013 after a year’s sabbatical, starting from Lake Geneva on July 8.
Five days of regularity rallying will await the crews, covering Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Germany before finishing at the ski resort of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
It will be the 54th running of this famous rally. The very first Alpine motor rally dates back to Austria in 1910 while the inaugural Rallye International des Alpes started from Marseille in 1932. In the 1950s and 1960s the event was revered as one of the toughest of all international rallies.
